Online Counselling and Therapy for Anxiety

Onlinetherapy 2x1

During times of difficulty our anxiety levels might increase. In terms of the coronavirus the reason why your anxiety levels might increases is because your mind and body have gone into a state of high alert to keep yourself safe. Having some anxiety at the moment is normal! The underlying emotion of anxiety is fear. Being fearful at the moment is not pleasant but it is helpful to keep you safe as well as others. If you are self isolating on your own you might find you have difficulties with loneliness. If you are isolating with others it can put these relationships under added stress.

If you normally suffer from anxiety or have a condition like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) of General Anxiety Disorder (GAD) you might find that your anxiety has ramped up to a high level. At this stage it can be helpful having some online anxiety therapy especially if you have been advised not to leave your home. You may not feel able to leave your home. You can access our online therapy from anywhere in the world with a Skype link or Facetime.

What To Expect From Online Therapy

Consultation

Anxiety Therapy starts with a consultation. This is where we get to know each other and start to build a therapeutic bond. We get to know you and appreciate where you are and what difficulties you are having. We discuss what it is you need to help you get better using a holistic integrative approach to anxiety difficulties.

Counselling for Anxiety

Online Anxiety Therapy takes place on a secure Skype Video uplink. Skype uses advanced encryption to ensure confidentiality.

We use a mixture of techniques to assist with anxiety. These include person centred anxiety counselling and psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Practical Help and Somatic grounding and Breathing exercises.

Session Format

A session takes place at the same time each week via video uplink.

A session lasts 50 minutes where you we work through the difficulties you are having in a safe therapeutic container and as part of a strong therapeutic relationship.
